1 Month!

We had Baby G's one month check up yesterday. He is growing fast and doing great! He has gained a pound since his 2 week check up. His doctor put him on Zantac for his reflux, she says the smaller babies seem to have reflux more than larger babies. We're hoping this will help him not have so much tummy troubles and maybe will help him sleep. (cross your fingers) He nurses like a champ and rarely sleeps through meal time. I've had to totally change my diet and cut out all the food I love because he does not love them.
Weight: 7lbs 14 oz

Length: 20.5 inches

Head circumference: 14.25 inches

I'm terrible at taking pictures but I'm going to try and take monthly pictures to watch his growth. Here are a couple. I couldn't decide if I should take his pics of him sitting up or laying down so I did both.

G has started smiling and has the cutest nose krinkle. I have yet to catch a picture of these but hopefully soon! We have decided he looks just like his dad and many people say he does as well. We'll see how he changes in the coming weeks.

2 Weeks already!

We had Graham's 2 week checkup last Friday. We weren't told the percentile he was in for everything but he's doing great!

Weight: 6 lbs 15 oz
Length: 20.5 inches long
Head circumference: 14 inches
He had gained a pound since the previous week and surpassed his birth weight! He's growing like a weed! Baby G is still not sleeping at night though. I think he might have a little colic and some reflux. I am open to any suggestions for getting him to sleep at night or just get his days and nights sorted. Even though he keeps us up all night we are enjoying every minute with our little guy! I'm dreading going back to work!

One week under our belts :)

We survived the first week! Yay! After the first night we were a bit doubtful. Sach was able to stay home with us the first week and my mom was here to help. Graham decided he did not like sleeping in the bassinet and that days were for sleeping while nights were for screaming! He is slowly but surely sleeping more at night and staying awake a little more during the day. He is a super nurser and has been great! We had a little scare with jaundice and he lost almost a whole pound in the first few days, but since my milk came in he is gaining weight like a champ! Our house has been full of visitors. Sach and I are looking forward to a little family time and hopefully some quiet time. :)
Graham is getting used to sleeping in the bassinet after a little adjustments. I think he might have a but of reflux so laying flat is not something he likes to do. He rarely cries and just wimpers when he is hungry. He is a perfect baby! We had his pictures done Saturday morning, his one week bday, and we can't wait to see them! Our photographer sent me some sneak peak pics on my phone but I can't figure out how to download them, so those will have to come at a later date. I'm starting to get around a little faster so that is making things easier. Sach and I can't stop staring at him! He is just so perfect! :)

Tootie (or Nina, we can't decide)

Daddy-O!

I love this pic! Sach took over cry duty one night after Graham ate and let me sleep. When I woke up and went in to check on them, this is what I found. They were both in the exact same position and it was sooo cute! :) Like father like son.

Aunt Ash :)

Tandi :)
There have been way more visitors so don't get your feelings hurt if I didn't post a pic of you. There are lots! Thank you to everyone for their kinds words and support over the last 9 months and the last week! We are doing great and couldn't be happier or more blessed. We thank God everyday for our little guy and all the love around us. :)

Graham Owen Zipper

Graham blessed us with his presence one week ago today! February 26, at 4:18 am and weighed 6lbs 12 oz, 20 in long. It was a perfect labor and went very quick! I was very grateful, needless to say. I had worked on Friday, my last 12 hour shift before my maternity leave started. I had contractions all day during work but didn't think anything of it. I clocked out at 7:08 pm and as I was walking out the back door of the ER my water broke! I turned around and walked right back in and was wisked to Labor and Delivery by one of my co-workers. It was perfect timing. Sach rushed to the hospital and was so excited! We called my mom so she could head in from Dallas. My dad and Donna were out of town for a basketball game and headed in and my doctor was out of town too! The doctor made it into town in time for the delivery, thank goodness! My sister came to keep me company while Sach ran back home for some essentials. Needless to say the contractions started coming and since my water had broken they were intense! I went ahead with the epidural around 1am to try an sleep since I had been working all day! I dilated from a 2 to a 10 in an hour and a half and before we knew it we were parents! Little Graham has been amazing and is trying to get his nights and days straight but is having a little trouble. Sach and I have been crazy pooped but the excitement of being parents far outweighs the bags under our eyes :)

We couldn't stop staring!

Our sweet little fam!
Graham had some issues with jaundice this week so we were having to use a "Bili-blanket" and that's why he is naked in the last pic. I am not trying to freeze my child out! :) He has fully recovered and couldn't be more perfect! Being a mom is the best thing in the world and I think Sach would agree with being a dad :)
