Super behind.......

Wow! I didn't realize I hadn't updated in a while. Our Thanksgiving was great! I didn't have to work this year so I got to enjoy family time. I absolutely love our families! My family is insane and fun. The "men" play ping-pong and tend to get a little over competive. I have a couple shots of the fun. We also went to Sach's parent's house but everyone was leaving when we got there so I didn't take any pictures. Sach has a great family that are very close. The only thing missing this year was my Mema. Her Alzheimer's has gotten worse and it's just too much for her to take her places. Everyone did make a trip over to see her after the ping-pong so she didn't miss out on the company.

Zach and Sach
Sach and Dave (my dad)

My Uncle Jeff (in black) and his brother James

Uncle Rick, Dad and a foreign exchange student (forgot her name)

Sach and I went to Dallas for a Stars game. My aunt Martha got us free tickets. It was really fun! It was our first trip to the American Airlines Center. The atmosphere makes the games enjoyable even if you're not into hockey (I really don't care for ice hockey). The Stars won and scored 3 points so we got free Chips and Salsa from Chili's. Sach and I went tonight and used one of our coupons :) It was a fast trip but we got to spend some time with my mom and Johnny T. Love, Love, Love them!!!! :)

I had my wisdom teeth taken out last week. I only had the top ones. My mouth is so small they were coming in on the cheek side of my jaw and were difficult to get to. I decided I better have them out before I regreted it. I opted to be put to sleep and that was weird. I've only been put under one other time (for tonsilectomy). The laughing gas didn't work so well, so they gave me drugs through the IV. Waking up was the worst. I could hear and see but could not move my arms or lips or talk. It was the worst feeling. Sach wouldn't look at me because he said my eyes were super dilated and freaked him out. I could go on and on about what a weird and uncomfortable experience that was, but the good thing is that all went well and I no longer have wisdom teeth! My recovery has been really easy and Sach has been the absolute best. He took care of me and made sure I took my meds. I only had a little swelling on one side, not enought to really notice. My pain was very minimal and only required ibuprofen. I was back up and at running 2 days later! I am so thankful I had such a good recovery.

I finally shot a deer on Friday. I have been hunting several times this season and have not fired a single shot. I'm a very picky shooter but my freezer is becoming barren! (if that's how you spell it) Hopefully we will be cooking more chili soon!! :)

Hope everyonoe is enjoying their holiday season! Merry Christmas!!

Cash's 2nd Birthday

Happy 2nd Birthday Cash-ola!! My nephew Cash is 2 today! It seems like just yesterday my sis was in the hospital having him! He is the cutest and most polite little kid I've ever known. At his birthday party on Saturday, he would open a present then run over to the person it was from and say "Thank you" then run back for the next one. He love Handy Manny so I gave him the singing toolbox with all the tools. Ever time I'm at his house, he gets his toolbox and plays it so we can dance. He's getting so big (mentally) and talking so much! He's still a little shrimp, his brother Mason is 14 months younger and is almost the same size. :) I love my Cash-ola! He makes me want to have babies REAL bad!

Just before his 1st birthday

Cutest little man!
I love my nephew! He's the greatest!

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!!!!...

AAHHHH!!! I'm going nuts trying to make decisions. How formal will the wedding be? What will we eat? Who to chose for a DJ? Who all needs to wear a flower? and the most important.... Where to get married?!! I have a place picked to get married but I'm just not sure it's the right place. I keep comparing it to the place I originally picked just outside San Angelo (Lipan Springs). They won't allow a wedding because of liability but what my dad didn't tell him when he checked on the place was that we just wanted to have the wedding there, no alcohol will be involved. He doesn't know the people well enough to call again and doesn't want to be a bother. I don't blame him. No other place seems as pretty as that place though. I am open to suggestions. :)
I could use some prayers for sanity :) Sach is doing his best to try to be supportive and optimistic. I'm so happy I'm marrying such a good man. :) I love him very much!! The day will be great because it will end the same no matter where it happens. Less than 6 months to go!

Wedding planning and updates...

Wedding plans are coming along nicely. I actually enjoyed doing the flowers! I've always known what I wanted for flowers so it was actually really simple. The cake was pretty easy, but Sach and I don't really eat cake so my mom picked flavors, I just picked the decoration. All I lack is a DJ for the reception and figuring out what Sach is going to wear. The wedding is going to be casual so no tuxedos will be involved. I have a place for the wedding but it's not final. I haven't decided if that's what we will both be happy with. I really want an outdoor wedding, small and intimate. Finding the perfect place is hard. I'm hoping God will lead us where we are supposed to be.

This is the color flower I'm using! :)

On another note, I put an offer on a house yesterday. I found out this am that I was out bid so no house this week. :( I have been house searching pretty seriously for the last month and just can't find what I want. I really liked this house but I felt it was too much money for not alot of room. It is a super cute house but small. If I'm going to buy a house I want one I can live in for years. Once again, we're praying the right house will come along.

Sach just returned from Mexico City for a hockey tournament. It was the Mexican National tournament. Sach and some friends from around the country have been invited the last 2 years to this tournament by some guys they met from Mexico. Sach's team won 1st place this year! They are the Mexican National Champs! :) I think it's hilarious. Sach had a great time. He love hockey trips and really enjoys traveling. The guys he plays with are lifelong friends. They've been playing hockey together since they were about 10 years old. Most of the guys were from Texas (Lubbock and San Angelo), but there was a guy from California and one from Washington (he's the #1 player in the USA). They are not used to playing outdoors and have the sun burns to prove it but they came through and won! I'm super proud!

I hope all is well with everyone! :)

Engagement pics.....

We had our engagement pic session the other night and it was super fun! We decided on the photographer Rachel Russo. She was recommended by a friend and after viewing her website (rachelrussophotography.com) I was impressed and it was a no brainer. I'd never actually met her before our session, only emailed back and forth. She's super cute and fun! She posted some of our pics on our facebook and also on her blog. (http://www.photographyrachelrenee.blogspot.com/) Let us know what you think! :) Did I mention it was the windiest day of the year?! So my hair was insane. As you'll see she definitely used it as an advantage :)

Wedding shmedding.....

So....I'm trying to be more positive about planning our big day. I have almost finished our wedding invite list. We are staying home for the wedding, no island/beach wedding. :( We've decided to have a pretty small wedding and just a reception with some close friends. I hate a big production and so does Sach. Where to have the wedding is the next step. I really want an outside wedding and the place I had in mind no longer does weddings due to liability. (It's out towards Wall, TX) I'm going to Dallas next weekend to look at dresses. I have an idea of what I want. I've heard (and observed) that you don't always end up with the dress you had imagined. I found a dress that is pretty much perfect in a magazine. I've been obsessed with reading "The Knot" magazines. They have so much info in them! I hope I can find a dress similar to what I have in mind but if not maybe I can get it made. I'm super simple. We have set a tentative date of April 24th, 2010. We'll see if we can get venues on that date. :) Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Wedding Planning SUCKS!!!!!

Ahhhhh! I'm going crazy planning the wedding! We have always wanted to get married on the beach but picking the perfect place, and being able to afford it, is hard! All our searching keeps bringing us back to St. Lucia. It is soooo pretty there. We have to keep our family in mind at the same time. We really want our parents and sisters there. I really don't want a big production, just something small and intimate, then a party/reception when we get back. The islands are expensive! We have money set aside but to be able to afford everything may mean dipping into our "house fund." I have a feeling I'm not going to have a choice but we can make it up fast. I have to keep telling myself that. I don't want my dad to have to foot the bill for us, just the actual wedding, and reception of course. We've found 3 resorts, all inclusive, in St. Lucia that we like but there is one we REALLY like. It's a little more pricy but it would make a beautiful wedding! :) It may be hard to get everyone we want there but I hope it works. Sach and my parents keep telling me to do what I want but I can't help but think of everyone else. Help us pray that God leads us to the place we are supposed to be. :) I have not even thought of the reception yet but I have a feeling after planning the wedding it will be easier to plan the reception, hopefully!

Our weekend in Fredericksburg....

Sach and I celebrated our 2 years together with a trip to Fredericksburg at the beginning on August. We stayed at Camp David on Main St. and love it! The lady, Molly, who runs the place has got to be the sweetest person ever! I chose this B&B because they were cottages. I didn't want to stay in a big house with a bunch of people I didn't know. I'm a sucker for privacy. It was fantastic! We had alot of fun. We left early on Friday so we could enjoy the day. We had dinner at Pasta Bella, a very good little restraunt on Llano, just off Main St. I made us reservations at Rockbox theater (http://www.rockboxtheater.com/). I had been before with my mom and wanted Sach to go. They are a group of very talented couples and they put on quite a show!! I love music and was not sure if Sach would like it but we had a great time! We called it a night after the show.
I had a list of possible activities for Saturday but a "must" was the Wildseed Farms. I have been wanting to go for a while and I must say I was not disappointed. It is a wild flower farm but they have a butterfly house and also a wine tasting "bar." This started our wine tasting day! I have to say I enjoyed the butterflies! I'm a super nerd and was so interested in the different species and seeing the whole cycle, from the laying of eggs to a newly emerged butterfly. After the farm we prceeded to walk down Main Street. We stopped in every now and again and grabbed some wine or a beer as we strolled. It was very fun! We ended our evening at Hondo's. I had been there before with my mom and knew they usually have good entertainment on the weekends (and great burgers!). I was right! They had a great band playing on the outside patio. We happened to run into my old friend Dollie and her family and spent the evening visiting with them. It was a fantastic weekend and just the break we needed from our hectic schedules! And it was a fun weekend to celebrate our engagement! :)

Sonora Caverns

I can't believe I never posted this! In July, Sach and I got a whim and got up early one Saturday morning to drive to Sonora. Sach and I have great road trips :) We had been saying we wanted to visit the caverns for a while and never had the time so why not be spontaneous! I had never been to the caverns and Sach had not been since he was 10 years old. It was very cool. I was worried about being clostrophobic and it made me a little apprehensive as we entered but the true beauty of the caverns cured that real fast. It was so awesome! I'm a total biology nerd so that kind of stuff totally interests me. :) It was well worth the trip and very cool! Just some pics from underground.

The poor guy in front of me probably hated me :)

They call these "Q-tips"

This is the infamous butterfly that was broken by some stupid kid.

This was a great trip and very informative. It's amazing how this place is formed! :)

A Visit from some Besties!!

Some of my best friends came down from Washington state last week, Wes and Jill Thornton. They live in Snohomish, WA. This was their first visit home after the birth of their son, Townes Allen in December. I was so excited to meet him! He is so precious and is the perfect combination of the two. Wes has been one of my best friends since elementary school. He moved to Washington right after high school but we have kept in touch over the years. I was able to go to Everett,WA for their wedding 3 years ago! They actually celebrated their anniversary while they were here. I was so happy to see them and meet their newest addition! We hung out at Jill's sister Beth's house. It was good to see her and my friends from Tuesday Morning! My friend Dollie was there as well. I've known Dollie since we were toddlers. Dollie and Jill are best friends. I alway have a good laugh around Wes, he's hilarious! Love you guys! I can't wait until you finally decide to move closer to home!! :)

A New Shiny Ring!

A new shiny ring can only mean one thing.....WE'RE ENGAGED! I just can't stop saying it! I called my mom the other day just to say it again! Sach finally took the plunge and popped the question on July 2nd/3rd. I've had so many people ask me how he did it, so here goes.
We had a really nice evening. I cooked a very good dinner of chicken parmasean and bought some wine for me and a few beers for Sach. We watched movies and just hung out. We love nights like these. We were lying in bed and talking about how we wanted to get married and have kiddos together. This time of night is both of our favorite times because it's just us and we have great talks when we're in bed. He then started asking me how I wanted him to propose. I said "You can't ask me! That would ruin it for me!" So he said "Would you be mad if I did it now?" I thought he was totally joking, he does that quite often. I said I wouldn't care, still thinking he was joking. Then he made me feel his heart racing! Then mine started racing! He got out of bed and walked over to his dresser drawer and all I could do was just lay there not moving and I'm pretty sure I wasn't breathing either! I heard the "pop" of the box and he said "Could you at least sit up on the edge of the bed or something?" I was freaking out on the inside. So I sat up not saying a word and just looked at him. I couldn't tell if it was a joke or if he was serious. He got down on one knee and pretended to put a ring on my finger. I was thinking, 'I'm going to be so upset if he's joking!' But then I felt the coldness of the ring on my finger and he asked me "Would you be my wife?" and I said "YES!" and hugged him. Then I said "Yes, Yes, a thousand times Yes!" I've always told him when he asked me that is what I'd say but in the craziness of the moment I almost forgot! :) I cried like a baby. And I haven't stopped smiling since! :) He keeps saying he's sorry I don't have some romantic story but I LOVE my story. He did it at a very special time for us and it couldn't have been any better. Although it was 1 am I still called my mom and woke her up as well as my dad :) I don't think they minded. So here is the beautiful ring. I picked out the design (ish) and Sach had it made. The main diamond is my parent's diamond. My mom gave it to Sach to have put in my ring! I LOVE IT!! and it just makes the ring that much more special.
I can't get over how pretty it is!

It looks even better on!

We're super excited and I can't wait to start planning my wedding!!!! :)

Hockey Nationals

Sach recently had his National Rink Hockey tournament in Lake Worth. It was a week long tournament but I only got to go for the last 3 days. Needless to say, Sach's team won first place in their division! They were the defending champs from last year (in New York). Sach also got MVP!! He's awesome! The championship game was against a girl's team (mostly made up of the US Women's team that just won in Japan). They were hardcore! I love watching Sach play. He is so competitive. He coaches 2 kids team which also placed. His Freshman team (14 and under) got 1st place and one of his players got MVP. His Midget team (10 and under) placed 3rd! There were teams from all over at the tournament like Washington state, Pennsylvania, New York and the teams from this division from Arkansas and around Texas. Alan from Lubbock played on Sach's team this year. He's a really good player. I got to meet some of Sach's friends from all over whom he's played hockey with since he was a kid. This is the only time he ever sees them so he loves going to nationals every year. He calls them his "Hockey Fam." Just a few pics and a video of Sach scoring a goal! :) I will hopefully have some more pics coming, my camera did not like taking pics in the rink.

Family Reunion

Wow, I have LOTS of catching up to do. We had my mom's family's reunion in mid June. It was super fun! The last reunion we had was around 15 years ago so it was due time! We had a lot more people turn out that we were expecting but it was fun! My aunt Martha has a lake house in Runaway Bay (north of Weatherford) so it seemed like the perfect place to have the reunion. We rode jet skis and played in the water most of the time. Sach got in on a volleyball game, I'm not very good at volleyball. It was fun for Sach to meet the WHOLE fam. At one of the first reunions I can remember (in Abliene) everyone had a shirt that stated which one of my Gran's siblings they belonged to. For example: my Gran's name was Lois so our shirts said "Lois's Legacy" and her sister Ella's fam wore "Ella's Entourage". I can't remember all the siblings names but there were alot of people there. Well, in honor of the old ways I had shirts made that said "Lois's Legacy" for the fam. I think my uncle was the only one who actually wore his shirt all day. It was SO hot! My cousins seemed to think we were total hill billies for doing it! :) O'Well, maybe we are! We all put them on for a family pic though. My mom only has 2 younger siblings still alive, her other siblings were alot older. It was great to get all my cousins together even though some couldn't make it. I love my family and it was definitely time for everyone to get together! Here are just a few pics of the fam!

Memorial Day Weekend...

We went to a party at Justin and Becca Tate's house on Saturday. Sach was very excited because he had so much fun at a party the weekend before with the same peeps. We ended up staying till 2:30am! I haven't stayed out that late in FOREVER! It was super fun and I have to say my stomach hurt SO bad the next day from laughing so hard! Laughing IS the best workout. Sach and I organized a washer pitching tournament and ended up drawing the same number so we got to play together! Then we ended up winning the whole thing! We won $90!! Some people say it was rigged but seriously, how could it have been? It just shows who the real champs are! :) The Tate's were so sweet to have such a fun party at their house and cook so much great food! I took the ever popular "7 Layer Dip" that I have to say went pretty fast. :) I took very few random pics throughout the day/night. Once again, I take my camera but don't use it!

Super old Mother's day Post

Wow! I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted anything! :) For Mother's day I went to Dallas to see my mom and for my aunt Martha's (Mom's sis) birthday party. I'm very happy I went because I got to see some of my family I hadn't seen in a while. We also brain stormed on the family reunion we're having this summer! We haven't had on in about 15 years!! I'm stoked, but that's later. My mom was very happy Sach and I made the trip. I had planned on taking pictures of my mom and me but for some reason it never happened! So here are some pics I did take. My aunt LOVES to have her picture taken and I'm sure she' thrilled I'm posting it on the internet, but I love you anyways! :) It ended up raining that weekend so the weather was perfect for sitting on the porch for the party!

Martha and Mom (notice the beautiful cake my mom made) :)
Sarah, Jana and Gary (cousins)

Of course I squeezed one in of me and Sach!

The Warrington Place :)

This past Saturday we went to Sach's grandad's ranch out in Robert Lee. This was my first trip to Robert Lee. I had no idea what pretty country it is! I have included LOTS of pics. Sorry, but I couldn't just pick a few. This is Sach's mom's side of the fam. They are very sweet and were very hospitable :) Harvey (grandad) has longhorns that you can walk right up to. I got some good pics that I didn't post (I only put one). They are HUGE! Sach has a burn on his nose in these pics and hates that I took so many of him. Don't ask him how he got it because he'll just make up a story because he's embarrassed about the event :) (hint: it includes a weak arm, saw blade, and the smell of something burning). We had so much fun at the ranch! We didn't get to stay the night with everyone because I had to work :( Go figure I was put on call most of the next day. I never knew there was a hill out there called "Titty Peak." It really does look like a boob! haha! Sach was quick to point it out :)
