Merry Christmas and more...

Merry Christmas to all! We hope everyone's holidays were blessed with lots of family time! :) Our's definitely was but I took absolutely no pictures! I have to get into the habit of taking my camera with me everywhere! Lately I've been forgetting to even bring my brain cells though. :) Sach played in the 5th Annual Christmas Bowl this year and had so much fun! I am really not a great picture taker but I was able to get him in one pic without him moving.
Sach had a great time seeing old friends and playing! He was nervous because he didn't know if he would be able to keep up with the younger boys. :) He did great even though his team lost!
My family came over Christmas night and opened presents. It was a mad house! My nephews had presents out the wazoo!! Our little man did quite well himself! We got lots of cute outfits and fun things for our baby room! :) I will be posting pictures of the baby room once it is finished. Sach is still doing some touch ups, but it should be done soon!! :)
Some updated belly pictures: (I'm really bad at remembering to take a pictue so I think we skipped week 29, but it could have been 28, who knows!)

I took this one in the baby room so it's kind of a sneak peak. We got our crib this last week and painted the week before. I am really happy with the way it has turned out so far, I can't wait to get it finished!! :) 10 weeks to go!

Christmas Spirit

Oh how I love Christmas! I love the smells and all the colors and lights! Sach and I recently put up our first tree! I have never had my own tree in my adult life and neither has Sach. I have to say, I think we did an OK job. Maybe it was the Christmas CDs that we bought to listen to while we decorated. Target has some great Christmas CDs and they're cheap! (my favorite!) All the years of helping my mom put up our tree paid off, Thank you Mom! :) I love coming home and turning on tree lights! There is something about lights on a tree that just make me feel warm and fuzzy inside :)

Our first tree!
Please excuse the Elmo book in the basket, that's my nephews' book basket ;)

I am now 26 weeks preggo. I had a checkup on Monday and all was good. Sach went with me and got to hear the heart beat. I did get a warning to watch the weight gain. I like to think it was the holidays that did me in. I'm a sucker for pecan pie and my mom made me one the week before that we have munched on throughout the week. Yes, that's what it was (hopefully :/ ). I had to work on Thanksgiving but that didn't stop the food splurge. We all brought wonderfully awful food to much on throughout the day. Sach even brought me home some leftovers from his family get together. Thanksgiving food is great!!

So let the after holidays vegetable binge begin! The belly continues to grow and I think any day now my belly button is going to give in and pop out! I used to have the best belly button that was small and deep and now it's huge and VERY shallow! Does it ever go back to normal? Still 14 more weeks to go and I think I'm huge now! I can't imagine how big this thing is going to get :)

Sach and I met with our Pediatric Nurse Practitioner this week as well and we like her alot! I met her while she was doing her ER rotation and thought she was pretty smart and I've heard nothing but good things since she started practicing. My best friend's sister is her nurse so that helps as well. I feel more comfortable knowing who's taking care of my kid.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday and is enjoying the Christmas season! :)

November Birthdays!! :)

We have 3 birthdays in November in our fam, me (1), dad (2) and my nephew Cash (12). So on Saturday night we had a birthday dinner. My dad's girlfriend Donna has cooked for us the last 3 years so we have now made it a tradition. Dad and I go hunting while everyone else gets it ready, conveinent? I think not. :) I made cupcakes and used my cupcake carrier I got for our wedding. I was super excited! Mason devoured his cupcake and I didn't take pictures! It was hilarious. He may or may not have been encouraged to make a mess by his Uncle Sach. :/

The pregnancy is going well. I keep forgetting to download my pictures and label them so I'm not too sure if this first pic was taken at 21 or 22 weeks but it's somewhere in there. It seems like every morning I wake up the belly is BIGGER! Our little babe is SUPER active and loves to kick around. I have a feeling he is going to be very active just like his dad. All is going well and I feel great! I found that my coveralls for hunting this weekend are getting a little tight in the belly area. I'm going to have to go get some bigger ones to last the next 2 months!
21 or 22 weeks?

23 weeks
We have yet to pick a name for the little guy. I think we will end up choosing 2 names and then deciding once we see him. I ordered my baby bedding this week so I'll post a pic on that later. If anyone knows a good website to order cribs from please let me know! :) That is my next project!

New house, growing belly.....bliss:)

We finally got moved into our new house and we couldn't be happier! It was hard work right away so we could get stuff done before we moved our goods in. Sach came straight over after closing and started ripping up carpet and other flooring. The entire house was floor-less the first day! (Thursday) Have I mentioned we have the best family ever?! My sister came over and helped Sach rip out carpet and padding and then my dad, Donna, and Sach's mom came over to help paint the main rooms before the new carpet was put down. By Friday afternoon, all the carpet was in! Sach spent the weekend putting in tile with a little help from a friend and by Monday we could move in! It has been an ongoing process to try to get the rest of the painting done. The baby's room is still totally empty and not painted! That is the next room to accomplish.
Dad painting :)
Judy and Donna painting their hearts out!
So far we have only been working on the living room and kitchen. I seem to like the neutral tones. Sach was not a big fan of the blacks and browns so I bought some pillows to throw in some color. My dad gave me 2 wingback chairs which add a nice touch but need to be reapolstered. My mom said she'd switch me for her red ones so that should work out nicely! Getting a house set up is a slow process but it is coming along. I love our living area. It is large and open with great natural lighting! I love sunshine and windows! We still need pictures and paintings to hang on the walls so it's is still a bit barren. My mom came down and helped to buy some little stuff to decorate! It was nice to have room for her to visit! I love our house!

The living room so far

As for baby news, the belly is growing rapidly! Our little babe is now 21 weeks along. Over half way!! I can't believe how this pregnancy is flying by! It seems like I have grown quite a bit in the last 2 weeks! We've been taking pictures every couple of weeks. I haven't settled into my weight gain as well as I thought I would. It's tough gaining weight but I think I'll get better. The little guy is kicking up a storm! It's fun watching my belly move around and Sach can see and feel him kicking! I finally feel like I'm pregnant and not just gaining weight! :)

I'm excited to get the house put together and start on the baby room! We have 4 more months to get it done! Ahhhh!

It's a Boy!! :)

We had our sono this am and it was confirmed that we are having a little boy. Our sonographer had guessed that it would be a boy at our last appointment and she was correct! We couldn't be more thrilled! We have not really been worried about what we were having but it's fun to know! Sach's mom and his neice went to the sono with us. Maddy is 4 and was wondering how we were going to be able to see pictures of the baby. She had a great time during the sonogram and kept us all laughing. Our little nugget is measuring 17 weeks 6 days and is about 7 ounces. Super tiny but growing so fast! I guess that never stops from here on out until they're about 18 or so.

We did the walk thru on our house today. I was hoping we were going to be able to get out of painting but not the case. Painting is going to be in our near future. :/ 2 more days and we will officially be homeowners!! We are a little nervous but very excited! Lots of work to be done but I can't wait for more space!

Lots going on!!

This weekend we traveled to Dallas for my mom's wedding reception. My mom and Johnny T were married in Mexico in July and had a little reception on Sunday. Sach and I took advantage of the trip to look at furniture for our new house and also made a trip to the state fair. Johnny T has been going to the fair for 56 years and was shocked to hear we had never been. We had so much fun! We visited the Tom Landry exibit and I definitely recommed it if you are visiting the fair this year, expecially if you are a big football fan. Sach and I are used to the San Angelo carnival and were very excited to be going to the "real" thing! Of course we had to get a picture with "Big Tex" to make it official!

Mom and me :)

I won a chicken hat and let Johnny T wear it!

Sach and Johnny made some friends :)

This year at the State Fair you get in free if you dress like "Big Tex." Johnny T has his outfit ready to go for when he goes back with his buddy. (They have a ritual of visiting the fair together.)
On Sunday we went to the wedding reception for a little bit. We got to see some family that we usually don't get to see. It was held at my mom's church, which is huge and beautiful. I didn't really get good pictures of the reception but it was very beautiful and there were very yummy finger foods.
We left early to rush home just in time to make it to my dad's first "Chamber Singers" concert. It was awesome! I meant to take my camera in to record some of it but totally forgot in our rush to get there. Dad looked handsome in his tux and the music was beautiful!
Tomorrow is our doctor's appointment to find out what we are having!!!!! I'm stoked! I have continued to feel great. My clothes are definitely getting tighter and I have a little belly, not quite noticably preggo yet though. So there will be an update soon with the news of the babe.
On Thursday this week we close on our house! My landlord called last week and told us we had to be out by Friday, (ahhhh!). So we are crazily packing and trying to move boxes to my dad's garage. My dad is a saint for letting us use his garage space and also letting us stay at his house while Sach finishes the floors in the new house before we move in. We are super stoked to be moving into our house finally!! So I have to get back to packing!!

Surviving the first trimester......check

The last 3 months have flown by! It's hard to believe that I am through the first trimester. I have had a very blessed pregnancy so far and have had no sickness. Sach kept asking, "Are you sure you're pregnant?" and I really didn't know because I wasn't getting sick, like everyone else I knew did. But I'm not complaining! :) I had all the other symptoms though including being EXTREMELY tired! I'm finally getting my energy back, which makes work alot easier.
We had our 2nd sonogram yesterday and the little nugget is "perfect." He/she was very active! Our sonographer took a guess at what sex the nugget would be but I'm going to wait to post the sex until the next sono (even though she is rarely wrong). :) Needless to say Sach and I are super stoked! We have a few names that we like but agreeing on a name is really hard. Whatever we decide will be perfect for our little nugget.

My aunt Sherry lent me some pregnancy books from when she was preggo with my little cousin (who's about to be 21). The pictures were WAY more graphic back then! Sach was flipping pages pretty fast! My favorite book she gave me has been a comic book titled "David, We're PREGNANT!" It's by one of my favorite cartoonists, Lynn Johnston. She writes the "For Better or For Worse" comic strip. I have included a page that pretty much sums up how I'm feeling these days.

I'll be including some others in later posts. They are pretty funny! I am so ready to look pregnant and not like I've eaten one too many chili dogs. :) I've been so worried about gaining too much weight but I should have known God would be good to me. I've only gained 5 lbs so far (even though I feel like I've gained 20!). My clothes are starting to get a little tighter and I can just forget about a belt! I can't wait to shop for some new clothes!!

We have begun packing for our move. We still have a month but I figure a little here and there may make it easier in the end. We bought the tile for our new house yesterday! I can't wait! Tile is heavy! I attempted to help Sach unload it (he told me not to) and boy was that a mistake. I ended up dropping a box on my foot and now have a beautiful bruise. Lesson learned. Listen to my husband!

Family, House and more

Wow! It's been a while since I updated! Lots has been happening! I'll start with today. We got to have family time today, which I love. My uncle was in for a high school reunion so it gave the family a reason to get together. I've been forgetting my camera lately but remembered it today. Today also happened to be my cousin's son Braden's 1st Birthday! Most of the pics I took are of the kiddos but old people are not as fun to look at. :) The boys are learning to play together but it takes time.

Birthday boy!!

Cash and Mason
Some other big news! We finally bought a house! It's nothing fancy but it will be a great first house for us! We are so excited! We don't close until the end of September, due to the owner's husband being in Iraq, but that's just fine with us (more time to pack). It's 3 bedroom 2 bath and has lots of space to grow into. On that note, I guess I should add we are expecting a baby in 6 months!! Some might say, "That was fast!" and we would agree. We were thinking it would take a little longer to conceive but God had other plans. We couldn't be more thrilled! :) This sonogram is from the 9th week so it looks a little weird but you can make out the arms and legs and head. It was done in 4D so I thought it was pretty cool! (almost looks like it has bat wings!) We are not posting anything on facebook so please, if you're friends with me on that, don't post anything. Not many people read my blog so I'm not too worried :)

Finally Home!

This is an old pic I found of Sach and a couple of his favorite hockey buddies. Stan played with Sach this year at nationals.
Wapo, Sach and Stan

Sach finally returned home on Sunday! He's been gone for 10 days! He traveled to Bremerton, WA for the 2010 Rink Hockey National Tournament. He was really excited to go and see some of the guys he grew up playing with. Just as anticipated, he had a blast! Of course there are no pics to show of his trip because he refuses to take pictures. Bremerton is located across the bay from Seattle. He got to go to Pike's Place one day and watch them throw fish. :) I'm super jealous of all the fresh seafood he got to eat while he was there! Sach's team won second place in their division. Sach was really hoping for 1st place since his originally team was the champs the last 2 years. Due to the long travel, his original team was not able to go so he played with a group of guys from Lubbock and Decatur and one other guy from San Angelo. I always worry about him when he plays because the balls they play with are hard and he always comes home with crazy bruises. Of course, this trip was just like the others and he came home with a HUGE bruise on his arm. I'm super stoked he's home and in one piece! Welcome home Sach!! You were missed terribly!! :)

Visit With Tandi and C-dub :)

This past weekend I made a day trip to visit Tandi in Midland. I needed to get a visit in as "C-dub" (Clayton) is getting bigger by the day! He just rounded 3 months old! He is a super happy baby! I found out he doesn't crazy ladies taking pictures though. :) I've included a couple pics and a video proving he is a happy babe.
So serious

A little happier

While there I got to see one of Tandi's places of work, The Aphagia Center. Tandi is a speech language pathologist. She's such an amazing person and has a HUGE heart! She really has a passion for what she does. She is always thinking of others. Her brother-in-law has his jaw wired shut while recovering from surgery and she is always looking for new things for him to eat. We made a blueberry icee kind of thing for him to drink and man! was it good! So good in fact that I came home and made my own for the house. :) It's super easy to make so I thought I'd include it in my post
2 1/2 cups of blueberries
3/4 cup of sugar (I used 1/2 cup with 4 cups of blueberries)
1/4-1/2 cup of water
1 tbs of fresh squeezed lemon juice
Blend blueberries and sugar in food processor until smooth and the strain out the seeds. Use a spoon to help with the straining process. Then add the water and lemon juice and freeze. It is delicious, if you like blueberries. :)
Thanks for letting me crash your Saturday Tan! Love you girl!! :)

Mema's 90th Birthday

My Mema (dad's mom) turned 90 last week. She's a great lady and hilarious! (Funny story: The day after Sach and I got married, we were telling her about it and she said "What'd you go and do that for?" :) She's hysterical!) The Stinnett clan got together to have a little party. My dad is one of 7 kids and 5 were able to be there. Only 2 cousins were missing so it was a good turn out.
Me and Mema (and my sister being "grown-up" :) )
My Mema (Mems as I call her) has played the piano most her life and still can play. Music is an amazing thing! My Mems suffers from Alzheimer's disease and can't remember any of us but if you mention an old song, she can sit at the piano and play it. Although the songs are getting more limited, it's amazing what she can remeber. My dad sat with her and sang while she played to help her out a bit :) All my dad's siblings are musically talented in some way and I'm sure it's all due to my Mems. Her little fingers still love to "stroke the ivory."

I love my family!!! :) I wish we got together more often!!

After wedding blunders....

#1. I've been worried lately because we still hadn't received our marriage license. A couple of my friends said they got their's in the mail the next week. Well the 2 week marker hit and we still had not gotten it. We were having it sent to my dad's house because our mailman has an issue with delivering our mail sometimes and it sucks! I knew that one of our wedding cards was returned as "not deliverable" (to my dad's house) because the name on the card was "Zipper." Well that got me to thinking, where would they send the license then?? (My dad gets all kinds of mail with other names on it but his mailbox is obviously banned from Zipper!) So, when I got home from work on Wednesday night (2 1/2 weeks after wedding!) Sach gave me the good news: his mom had our marriage license!! You are asking yourself, how did Sach's mom end up with our license? Funny story. The mail sorter dude knew Sach's dad (who has the same legal name as Sach, "Rexy") haha!! So the envelope had his dad's name on it and the mail dude pulled the mail and took it to Sach's dad's shop. (The joys of small town living!) Well, Sach's dad lets his mail pile up at his shop and takes it to Sach's mom to open after it builds up. So, a week after it was post-marked, Sach's mom opened what she thought was mail for his dad and it was our marriage license! We are finally official!!!! Now to change my name to....(cringe)...Zipper. I'm having issues!

#2. We received a card with a $50 check in it at our wedding. The funny thing was, we could not read the names on the card. Even the check had a name on it we didn't recognize. We went through our invite list over and over again with no luck. We even pulled the card out again and really tried to make out the names on the card. The weird thing was what was written on the card. "Hope all your ups and downs are in bed" WHAT? Who writes that on a wedding card that you don't know very well?? It has really been bugging Sach and me! The other night, Baby D (Sach's friend) was over for dinner and we were telling him about it. He says "Wait, I know that from somewhere!" Come to find out, one of Sach's oldest friends gave us the card and had told Baby D what he wrote on it! Thank goodness! Then Sach remembers the wife (whose name was on the check) had requested Sach on facebook. It obviously never clicked! (MEN!)
Just some of our fun stories after the wedding! I'm sure everyone has some! :)

Our FANTASTIC! photographer Rachel Russo posted some pics from the wedding on her blog:

She is absolutely amazing!! We loved having her as our photographer! She is full of great ideas and is SO easy to work with! Thanks again Rachel! Can't wait to see the rest of the photos!

We are Hitched! :)

So the day finally came and went (WAY too fast). Despite my changing the entire ceremony 2 days before, it couldn't have been more perfect. The week leading up to the wedding was rainy and windy, so the option of having the wedding at the ranch was not looking good. As we were trying to get everything organized for the ranch I became super stressed. Sach was great during it all and helped me realize I didn't need to be as upset as I was and I really needed to make it easier on me. Well, that's just what I did. We ended up getting married at the same spot as the reception and used the chairs from the table for seating (as opposed to having to get hay bales and put together benches for the ranch). We also used some of the plants from my dad's back yard (didn't have to put together some type of decoration for the ranch). And people could park in the parking lot and walk up the sidewalk (unlike having to shuttle them from parking to ceremony site via rented golfcarts). It was WAY simpler and so much fun!
The wind gave us the worst time when trying to put table cloths on the tables. I have the most incredible family! All my cousins (boys included) helped decorate as well as their parents! Even Sach's mom was out in the heat and wind with her pretty hair! I tied some table cloths down until I had to start getting dressed. God answered our prayers and just before the wedding, the wind totally stopped and it cooled down so that it was incredibly beautiful for the outdoor ceremony and reception I wanted! Of course I was a total cry baby for the ceremony, which I knew I would be (hence the small "family" ceremony). Sach did his best to hold it together despite my mother "snorting" because she was crying so hard. :) haha! It was pretty funny! The more my mom cried the more my dad cried, thank goodness I couldn't see them! Sach did his best not to look at my dad or he would have not been able to control his emotions like he "sort of" did. I tried not to look at anybody but Sach. From what I hear it was an all out cry fest for the family! :) Sorry guys! Even one of the groomsmen was crying! GEEZ!!
The reception was so much fun! It went by so fast! Sach and I have been opening presents and I keep coming across people I didn't even know were there! I wish I could go back and slow it down! I would have LOVED to visit with some of the peeps that came from out of town who I don't get to see very often at all! We had lots of fun and the wedding could not have been better! I'm so glad I changed the plans and made it easier on me and everyone else. Sach and I have the greatest family and friends! :) I'll post pics as soon as I get them on the computer!
We went to the Riviera Maya, Mexico for our honeymoon. Talk about beautiful! The wind and rain didn't allow us to do any fun excursions, but we didn't really want to leave the resort anyway. We had lots of sun, beach and pool time and actually got a little tan! Pictures to come from that as well :)
All in all everything was fantastic! If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing (other than slowing down the time) :)

Clayton Wesley Poitevint

My great friends Tandi and Garret had their first baby, Clayton Wesley, on March 25th. {Garret and I agreed a good nickname for him is "C-dub."} :) I finally got to go to Midland to meet him today, on his 1 week birthday. He is so precious!! and tiny!! I think he likes me. :) I got to snuggle with him all morning! He finally opened his eyes just before I left to get a good peek at the annoying lady who kept trying to wake him up. He is doing so great and Tandi is fantastic! She's the best mom ever!! I believe Sach has some competition for the cutest man in the world! :)

Less than a month...ahhh!

Less than a month to go and things are coming together. Sach has a countdown on the refrigerator so I'm reminded every day that I need to stop procrastinating. Every evening he marks off a day. It has become a fun thing we do together. (Although I'm cringing inside as I realize I don't have much time left for final touches). I think for the most part all the hard stuff is done. I had a melt-down the other day but from what I hear I'm lucky I've only had one! There is just not enough time in a week to get everything done I want. I've been trying to make the most of the time I'm given, but even that can get overwhelming. Sach has been great through it all. He even learned how to shop for a hot glue gun and use pinking shears. Something he can use in the future :)
Our minister told us we need to start saying/thinking "We" for everything. Sach had a really hard time with this when it came time for bridal portraits. He thought "we" needed to be going, haha, not the case. We have definitely enjoyed the surprise packages that arrive regularly. Sach gets to open all presents sent by mail. He has really enjoyed that. Now to find a house to put everything in......(sigh)
I can't wait to see the portraits. We took them all outside and the day was very sunny and windy. My eyes are super sensitive to the sun so I hope they turned out ok. :/
On a totally different note, my besty Tandi had her first baby on Wednesday, Clayton Wesley Poitevint (or "C-dub"). I was pacing by the phone before my bridal portraits anxiously awaiting new of the birth. Tandi lives in Midland and I was not able to be there. Little C-dub entered the world at 8lbs 1 oz 20 inches long! I'm so happy for Tandi and Garret and hopefully will be able to get away soon to see the little rascal! I will definitely post pictures when I do.

Catch up.....

Well the countdown has begun. Less than 2 months till the "big day," and things are starting to fall into place. Wednesday was my mom's birthday. She came to town to bring my bridesmaid dresses and to see the grandkiddos. We all went out to eat at Outback. I hope she had a great birthday! I really loved seeing her!!! :) Sach is getting very excited about the wedding, I think. We got the groomsmen ties in and they are hot pink. Sach put on his whole outfit the other night and modeled for me. He's going to look so handsome! :) I can't wait!
I have been searching for buckets to make the isle for my outdoor wedding. I found some at a local feed store but they were a little pricey for my liking. A friend of mine at work suggested I look at Tractor Supply, why didn't I think of that?! Well, I went there today and what do ya know? The perfect buckets at the perfect price for my budget! I couldn't have been happier. I took my best friend Ashley her dress today and she tried it on. She looked great! I was excited once again! Then I went to practice my hair with Sach's aunt Wanda, who is a saint for doing my hair. Seeing everything put together made me super excited!! Less than 2 months and very happy :)

I've been working my fanny off lately. (I wish that was literally) The hospital I work at has started a new campaign, "30 minute door to doc time." Boy! has that made work more "challenging." I was used to being put "on call" when we weren't busy and now it feels like we never have enough nurses for all the patients. I have to say I enjoy the bigger paychecks but I've been exhausted. Yesterday I got off at 7 pm and was asleep by 9pm.
I have neglected to take pictures of anything recently. Sach and I got to spend some time with Cash the other day and I should have taken pictures of the two of them. Cash loves his uncle Ach. Cash came over for a little bit and kicked his shoes off as soon as he got in the door. He has a book at my house that he loves to play with and knows exactly where it is. He sat in the floor and played while Sach played with him. Sach is so good with kids! I can't wait till he has one of his own. I can only imagine how much fun we will have. :)
Tomorrow we are going out to Sach's grandad's ranch to see the baby longhorns. My dad is going with us just to get out and I'm hoping to have some pictures to share. I hope all is well with everyone reading this. :) God Bless!

Entertaining Blogging...

I would like to say that I have a blog that is entertaining to read. I'm pretty sure my blog is my way of venting. I don't have fun stories about my kids (cause I don't have any). I have the woes of planning my wedding and tell of the random things my fiance and I do. I only wish I was a good journalist/writer. Oh, to be so creative! I've never been much of a writer.
My younger cousin Alyssa has a blog, http://musicalsnack.blogspot.com/ that is so entertaining to read. She is a great writer and I only wish I could write so well and that it was so entertaining. She's young, single and just an all round cool chick. Check it out if you have time and see what ya think. :)
I can say I will aspire to write such entertainment that people enjoy to read but I don't think it will ever happen. Have a great day!

Welcome 2010!

Happy 2010! We hope everyone started the year on a good note. We are very excited about the coming year! This is the year we will be married! I'm hoping with it being an even year Sach can remember how long we've been married a little easier. :)

Sach and me
Our Christmas was great! We received lots of great presents! My mom and Johnny came to San Angelo Christmas Eve from Dallas. It took them 11 hours to get here! The weather was horrible so we are very thankful they made it safely! They saw a total of 28 wrecks! It was nice being able to spend Christmas with the WHOLE fam! :) I am blessed to have the fantastic parents that I have and that they are still good friends! It makes the odd situation so much easier for the rest of us. This year I started a tradition with Sach and me, giving each other a Christmas ornament that has some meaning of hope for the coming year. Well, I made the mistake of thinking this up late (only after I saw an ornament I could give him). I got Sach a cutely decorated little mailbox, to symbolize our hope of buying a home in the next year. Sach got me an angel holding a banner that says "hope". :) It was a valiant effort, I thought, especially on such short notice. This year Sach and I actually got to ring in the New Year together, which we have never done! The last few years I have been working so we did not get to do anything. This year we had plenty to do! We started the evening at my dad's house. We had good food and got to hang out with some family! After stuffing our faces, we headed to Sach's friend Wapo's house. There, we got to visit with Sach's hockey buddies. We ended the evening at Justin and Becca Tate's house. There we played some Wii and rang in the New Year!
