One week under our belts :)

We survived the first week! Yay! After the first night we were a bit doubtful. Sach was able to stay home with us the first week and my mom was here to help. Graham decided he did not like sleeping in the bassinet and that days were for sleeping while nights were for screaming! He is slowly but surely sleeping more at night and staying awake a little more during the day. He is a super nurser and has been great! We had a little scare with jaundice and he lost almost a whole pound in the first few days, but since my milk came in he is gaining weight like a champ! Our house has been full of visitors. Sach and I are looking forward to a little family time and hopefully some quiet time. :)
Graham is getting used to sleeping in the bassinet after a little adjustments. I think he might have a but of reflux so laying flat is not something he likes to do. He rarely cries and just wimpers when he is hungry. He is a perfect baby! We had his pictures done Saturday morning, his one week bday, and we can't wait to see them! Our photographer sent me some sneak peak pics on my phone but I can't figure out how to download them, so those will have to come at a later date. I'm starting to get around a little faster so that is making things easier. Sach and I can't stop staring at him! He is just so perfect! :)

from this am

Pops and Nana (Sach's parents)
Tootie (or Nina, we can't decide)

Daddy-O!

I love this pic! Sach took over cry duty one night after Graham ate and let me sleep. When I woke up and went in to check on them, this is what I found. They were both in the exact same position and it was sooo cute! :) Like father like son.

Aunt Ash :)

Tandi :)
There have been way more visitors so don't get your feelings hurt if I didn't post a pic of you. There are lots! Thank you to everyone for their kinds words and support over the last 9 months and the last week! We are doing great and couldn't be happier or more blessed. We thank God everyday for our little guy and all the love around us. :)

Graham Owen Zipper

Graham blessed us with his presence one week ago today! February 26, at 4:18 am and weighed 6lbs 12 oz, 20 in long. It was a perfect labor and went very quick! I was very grateful, needless to say. I had worked on Friday, my last 12 hour shift before my maternity leave started. I had contractions all day during work but didn't think anything of it. I clocked out at 7:08 pm and as I was walking out the back door of the ER my water broke! I turned around and walked right back in and was wisked to Labor and Delivery by one of my co-workers. It was perfect timing. Sach rushed to the hospital and was so excited! We called my mom so she could head in from Dallas. My dad and Donna were out of town for a basketball game and headed in and my doctor was out of town too! The doctor made it into town in time for the delivery, thank goodness! My sister came to keep me company while Sach ran back home for some essentials. Needless to say the contractions started coming and since my water had broken they were intense! I went ahead with the epidural around 1am to try an sleep since I had been working all day! I dilated from a 2 to a 10 in an hour and a half and before we knew it we were parents! Little Graham has been amazing and is trying to get his nights and days straight but is having a little trouble. Sach and I have been crazy pooped but the excitement of being parents far outweighs the bags under our eyes :)

Graham, not wanting his picture taken
Before the birth

We couldn't stop staring!

Our sweet little fam!
Graham had some issues with jaundice this week so we were having to use a "Bili-blanket" and that's why he is naked in the last pic. I am not trying to freeze my child out! :) He has fully recovered and couldn't be more perfect! Being a mom is the best thing in the world and I think Sach would agree with being a dad :)

Just days ahead......

I have gotten so far behind! Our due date is less than a week away! Should he not come on time I'll be induced on March 8th. As of now, he's pretty comfy where he is and is not making any advances in coming out. :) Sach is sooo ready for Graham to get here, I think the anticipation is getting to him. I've been sick so I'm ok with him waiting a little longer so I can start feeling better first. Every time I cough I have a contraction so I may just be pushing it closer. My pregnancy brain acted up yesterday. My doctor gave me a Z-pack and I threw it away! I don't know what I was thinking but I looked pretty ridiculous digging through my trash this am to find it. But no worries! It was found! It was wrapped up in 2 different bags so it wasn't dirty or anything. :)
So for an update in belly pics:

I'm guessing there won't be another update until after the little guy arrives. Let's hope for a fast and smooth delivery and a handsome, healthy babe! :)

Graham's room :)

I've been waiting for my nursery room furniture to come in all week. When I got home last night Sach said it still hadn't come in but that he bought a dresser for the baby room. When I went to see it, all the furniture was in and set up! :) I love, love, love my husband!!!! I have been so stressed about getting the room together and now all I have to do is organize! So with much anticipation, here is Graham's room, with some still needed improvements and cleaning. :)

Sach's mom is painting my old toy box that my dad made me when I was little to put in the room too! :) I can't wait!

6 weeks to go!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by! It seem like just yesterday I was avoiding taking a pregnancy test! :) Only 6 more weeks to go........eeekkks! The baby room is a wreck after my baby showers the last 2 weekends. My work girls threw me a shower and it was so much fun! I love the peeps I work with!! I didn't get good pics of the 2nd shower but my best friends and my aunts threw one. It was also fabulous! and baby Graham got lots of presents! Yes I said baby Graham! Sach has agreed to the name!! YAY!!!! I knew he'd come through! :)

My work crew
The belly is starting to move straight out! Really weird and uncomfortable but super fun! Starting this week I have to see the doctor weekly. So far all the measurements have been perfect and the weight gain has slowed to a bearable rate. :) He's getting more and more active and has found my ribs. He loves to sit just at the weirdest spot and gives me a wonderful nudge every now and then just to let me know he is still there :)

First Glimpse of the little guy!

So we had our 3D/4D sono done. It took 2 takes because the little guy did not want to cooperate the first time. He was still breech at the time of the pics so they weren't as great as they could have been but we were able to get a peek at him! 8 weeks to go! I can't believe it!! My 12 hour shifts at work are starting to get a little "trying" but I intend to work up until my water breaks! :) I like my job WAY too much! As far as a name, Sach says we have one picked but he changes his mind every day! As far as I'm concerned his name is Graham Owen Zipper :) Sach says that will be his name but we'll see. Owen was my grandad's name.

A little grin :)

This pic cracks me up! It looks like he's singing! :)
Needless to say we were very excited to see our babe! and cannot wait for him to get here! Sach tells him daily he's ready, and of course I say "NOT YET!" There is still so much to be done before he gets here. But it's right around the corner!

Merry Christmas and more...

Merry Christmas to all! We hope everyone's holidays were blessed with lots of family time! :) Our's definitely was but I took absolutely no pictures! I have to get into the habit of taking my camera with me everywhere! Lately I've been forgetting to even bring my brain cells though. :) Sach played in the 5th Annual Christmas Bowl this year and had so much fun! I am really not a great picture taker but I was able to get him in one pic without him moving.
Sach had a great time seeing old friends and playing! He was nervous because he didn't know if he would be able to keep up with the younger boys. :) He did great even though his team lost!
My family came over Christmas night and opened presents. It was a mad house! My nephews had presents out the wazoo!! Our little man did quite well himself! We got lots of cute outfits and fun things for our baby room! :) I will be posting pictures of the baby room once it is finished. Sach is still doing some touch ups, but it should be done soon!! :)
Some updated belly pictures: (I'm really bad at remembering to take a pictue so I think we skipped week 29, but it could have been 28, who knows!)
27 weeks

28 weeks (ish)

I took this one in the baby room so it's kind of a sneak peak. We got our crib this last week and painted the week before. I am really happy with the way it has turned out so far, I can't wait to get it finished!! :) 10 weeks to go!
